We're Blue House.

We started with the simple idea of creating the kind of coffee shop we'd want to come back to every day.

Thoughtful coffee, matcha and pastries, genuine hospitality, a great team behind the counter, and a space that slowly starts to feel familiar.

We're opening soon, and we thought we'd tell you a little about what we're creating.

Coffee is especially close to our hearts. Through direct relationships with producers in Colombia, Peru, and El Salvador, we source our beans and roast them in-house, keeping us closely connected to every cup we pour.

For everything else, we work with people who care about their craft as much as we do. Our matcha comes from Paragon, our pastries are baked just down the road by Le Croissant Chaud, and our milk comes from Avalon, right here in BC.

At the end of the day, we want to serve things we genuinely love ourselves, and feel good about sharing with you.

We believe great cafés are built by great people. Experience can be taught, but warmth, curiosity, care, and work ethic are a little harder to teach.

So we've focused on bringing together a team we're genuinely proud of, and creating the kind of place they enjoy being part of as much as we hope you enjoy visiting.

We also know becoming part of a community like Oak Bay doesn't happen overnight.

Maybe it starts with one good cup of coffee, then another. We learn your order, you start recognizing a few familiar faces, and somewhere along the way, Blue House becomes an easy part of your morning routine.

That's really what we're hoping for.
